LifeShip Launchpad: One year on the Moon, mission updates, Eclipse Festivals, Egypt, and more š
One year ago, we landed a Pyramid on the Moon!
The LifeShip Pyramid touched down in Mare Crisium onboard the Firefly Aerospace Blue Ghost lander. It was the first-ever human-made pyramid on another celestial body.
Inside that golden relic is an archive of Earth: 100 plant species, the DNA of 500+ species, and the complete human genome etched into ceramic to last a billion years. It holds the stories, prayers, art, and photos of tens of thousands of our LifeShip community. This collective monument also houses visionary collections from partner organizations, creators, entrepreneurs, and featured artists. Read more about the mission.
We didn't just send a monument; we showed that a community can do big things in space.Ā

Davos: Space is a Big Topic in 2026
I recently returned from Davos during the World Economic Forum. I spoke on a panel about "Space Technology and the Space Economy" at the unDavos Summit and shared LifeShipās vision during an Ignite talk.
I also sat down with Monocle Radio for a podcast with Samuel Stubblefield and Stan Stalnaker to discuss how fast we are moving towards cities on the Moon. We explored the "continental" opportunities of the Moon and the importance of bringing art, culture, and sacred spaces to the lunar frontier.
At Davos, I announced LifeShipās vision for the Temple on the Moonāa cosmically aligned sacred space for people to visit and reflect. We believe the "Overview Effect" can be a catalyst for transformation, and we want to create sacred spaces that amplify this. Weāve proven we can land small relics on the lunar surface, but that was only the beginning of a much grander vision. Our mission is to steward life and consciousness as we move outward into the Universe, creating sacred spaces that ground us as we reach for the stars. I want our community to not just send their stories to the Moon, but eventually, to go there themselves.

Mission Updates: The Road to the Moon & Deep Space
LifeShip Luna Pyramid: It is inspiring to see the Astrolab FLIP rover coming together. Payloads are being integrated now, and we anticipate images of our Luna Pyramid mounted on the rover soon. Due to delays in flight-critical components for the Astrobotic Griffin lander, the launch window is now opening in October 2026.
LifeShip Pyramid on an Asteroid: Our mission with AstroForge DeepSpace-2 is progressing beautifully. Seeing the spacecraft built and in testing is exciting. This will be the first commercial mission to an asteroid. The launch is planned for October 2026.
Note: These two upcoming missions include art, archival collections, and partner collections but do not include biological human DNA. We are aiming for our next human DNA archive mission in 2027.

Cosmic Initiations: The Eclipse Series
Total solar eclipses are perhaps the most awe-inspiring celestial events we can witness. LifeShip is part of a series of "cosmic initiations" here on Earth:
š®šø Iceland Eclipse Festival (August 2026): This transformational gathering unfolds on the SnƦfellsnes Peninsula, where glaciers and lava fields meet the sea. It is a four-day fusion of celestial science, large-scale art, and electronic music, all designed to foster a deep connection between community and the cosmos. LifeShip will be hosting an activation and Iāll be a featured speaker. The next wave of passes release soon and the event will sell out.
šŖš¬ Egypt Eclipse Gathering (August 2027): This will be the longest total eclipse of the century (6 minutes and 23 seconds of darkness!). I recently returned from a scouting trip with 20 peopleāincluding two astronautsāwhere we took a boat up the Nile from Luxor and visited sacred temples. We then went to the Great Pyramid, and I brought a replica of LifeShipās Pyramid into the Kingās Chamber. This Egypt initiation was one of the most powerful experiences of my life, and I am sure being there for the eclipse will be exponentially more powerful.
I dream of watching a total eclipse of the Earth from the Moon! We want to make that lunar eclipse festival a reality. We are building towards it and perhaps youāll be on the journey too!
Full Speed Ahead: The Moon is Calling
The worldās focus in space is now firmly on our nearest neighbor. NASA Administrator and two-time astronaut Jared Isaacman recently announced a clear directive: humans on the Moon by 2028, with permanent habitation shortly after. The major rocket companies are building the largest rockets ever conceivedāreusable and mass-produced. Space travel will soon open the final frontier like airlines opened intercontinental travel. We will see the rapid development of the first cities on the Moon in the coming decade.
At LifeShip, we care about making ways for everyone to be part of these exciting space missions. We are stewards of life, carrying human culture outward and using the perspective of space to positively impact how we care for Earth.
The temples of Egypt inspire deep reflection today; imagine a collective Temple on the Moon doing the sameāa destination of heart and soul, housing a library of life from Earth and the creativity of humanity.
We invite you to be part of our upcoming monuments and adventuresāas we take steps towards our bigger vision together.
We want to see you go to the Moon someday.Ā
Thank you for being part of this story. We are just getting started.
Ad Astra ā
Ben
